We Need Your Voice for Rental Assistance!

Landlords, how can you help?

In our time working together through either Landlord-Tenant Mediation or Lawyer of the Day program (or both!), many of you have expressed enthusiasm and support for the services RentHelpPGH provided to your tenant as well as the rental assistance that we were able to help you both access. These strong partnerships have allowed us to connect landlords with more than $12 million in rental assistance since 2023. Rental assistance, and to a large degree these programs, were funded through COVID response funds that are now running out.

Thank you for working with us during these years to build programs that can best serve you and your tenants. We have heard from countless clients, tenants and landlords alike, who wish that our services had been available prior to the pandemic and hope they’ll remain available moving forward.

To make that hope a reality, your voice is more important now than ever.

In just the past year, more than $17,000,000 of rental assistance was distributed to Allegheny County landlords like you, saving you money, frustration, and helping you to do what matters most, working with your tenants to keep them housed. Access to rental assistance and other tenant resources has allowed landlords to avoid more than an estimated $9,000,000 in costs associated with evictions. In that same time frame, rental assistance funds have helped keep more than 3,000 Allegheny County families out of homelessness and ensured that more than 2,995 children had a safe place to go to bed at night! A win-win!
