Eviction 101

The following blog posts are to help you better understand how to navigate the eviction process in Allegheny County.

• Only a Judge can evict you from your home. Your landlord cannot evict you without an Order of Possession.  Please read An Overview of the Eviction Proceedings in Allegheny County for more information. 

• Communicate any needs to reschedule your hearing, updates on the status of any rental assistance application directly to the Magisterial District Judge's Office as well as to your landlord.
